My name is Patrick. I’m an Army Veteran, husband, son, brother, uncle, and proud Cat Dad.

I’ve had a handful of gigs over the years that have had my Mom wring her hands more than anyone should have to, from the Infantry to being a roofer to wildland firefighting, I’ve kept her on her toes from time to time.

I’ll be the first to agree: a site dedicated to selling a single type of rubber band might seem a bit odd.

Back in the summer of 2006, after returning from an overseas deployment and before going back to college, my Dad helped me get some summer work at a family-owned rubber band distributor. My Dad’s long time friend, Lou, became a mentor and a friend of my own.

Over the years, I worked alongside Lou and my Dad, getting to know more about the business and some of the other major players and manufacturers. I started Veteran Safety Supply in 2015 and one of our first federal contracts for the Defense Logistics Agency was a significant award for parachute bands.

Years later in 2023, Lou introduced me to a U.S. parachute manufacturer looking for alternatives to currently available bands. We worked with them to develop what we offer today here on parachutebands.com.
